"My daughter found her people while on travel. I have never seen her smile this much!"
"My son goes to a wonderful school and has friends, but, since he was entered middle school, he has struggled to form close friendships. When someone recommended Thea’s program to us, it sounded fantastic. He went on his first trip during the summer of 2024. Thankfully the staff post pictures, keeping me in the loop and showing me he was having a blast. When he returned, he was overjoyed- said it had been the best couple weeks of his life. He came home with good friends, who he is in touch with consistently, more independence and more confidence. We felt the experience was so transformative, we figured out a way to send him again, 2 weeks later. Craziest thing I've ever done, but well worth it. He absolutely loved the second trip as well and is looking forward to the next one. The trips are well planned and full of fun activities and the staff are wonderful. There are no words for how strongly I recommend Thea and her team. "
"I can’t say enough good things about Thea. I was nervous to send my son Josh on a teen tour. I was worried about him making friends and being away from home. I worried for no reason. He made a ton of friends. He was busy all day. Loved seeing new places. Learned responsibility. He didn’t want the summer to end. He is counting down the days until next summer. Thea is a great leader. She understands the children. She is there to help with everything. She make sure they take their medicine, meet new people , and to have fun. I can’t say enough good things about Thea ! Thea is the head leader but she has an amazing staff. They are all very compassionate about the campers. They understand what the children need. They show them social skills and empathy. They keep the kids smiling!"
"Five years and many trips later I can say this is by far the most fun, social and educational program he has ever tried and I would highly recommend it to everyone."
"Traveling with the group has improved his skills of daily living more than any other school or recreational program."
"Our daughter loves to travel but as a young adult with autism, could never do so if we were not with her. Now that is not true! The summer travel program created by Thea Mullis, along with her experienced and caring team provided our daughter with opportunities we never thought possible, including gaining friendships and independence. Thea and her team consist of professionals who are very familiar with our population and their needs to create an amazing support system: from traveling with a nurse for medical management, to experienced staff providing emotional support, coping skills strategies, extra reminders, and tons of patience and understanding, her team has it all. Our daughter’s life has been greatly enriched with this program and she can’t wait to go again next summer."

Hi! I'm Thea!
I am the proud Tour Director of Camp On Tour and am so excited to introduce my new venture!
I have spent years taking neurodiverse teen travelers all over the world. I spent my collegiate summers and onward working at various sleep-away summer camps for special needs youth. Throughout college, I worked with special needs individuals in school and recreational settings. I was active in my community by volunteering with programs including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Special Olympics. Through the University of Georgia, I studied abroad in Ireland, where I worked in a school for children with autism. In May 2013, I earned my BS degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders from Armstrong Atlantic University. I continue to be an active member of organizations that advocate for our populations including CHADD and LDA.
With Camp On Tour, my goal along with my excellent group of staff, is to plan trips that will meet our young travelers needs and will be stimulating socially and personally in ways that have a lasting impact.
