Find out what we got up to on our Travel Club Weekends!
What a day we had in New York City this weekend!
We met outside the New Amsterdam Theater and headed to our seats to watch the Disney on Broadway show, Aladdin! We all LOVED the show, and everyone spent the entire time laughing. We gave the cast a standing ovation! After the show, we headed next
door to Dave & Busters where we enjoyed a buffet dinner and arcade games with our friends. We even had more friends join us for this part of the day!
We had a blast during Spring Break at the American Dream Mall! We met at Port Authority and traveled on public transport to our lovely Marriott Hotel in New Jersey, where we had amazing views of the city skyline! On Friday night we enjoyed a pool pizza party at the hotel with everyone enjoying socialising!! On Saturday we had our big day out at the American Dream Mall, we explored the shops before having lunch at a Camp On Tour fave- Yard House! We celebrated Olivia's birthday here with Oreo Sundaes! Then we split into waterpark and theme park groups, and spent the afternoon having an absolute blast at our chosen activities! We reconnected for dinner in the food court and worked on our budgeting and ordering skills as we split off into groups to order from our chosen restaurants! On arrival back at the hotel, we were wiped from a busy day! Some hung out in the lobby playing cards and chatting whilst others went to hang out in their rooms with their roommates! Overall we had an amazing weekend!!!
Our February Northeast Travel Club was a huge success! We had 21 join us on a fun trip to Washington DC! We spent Saturday afternoon/evening at Dave And Busters Silver Springs where many locals came to join us, including some new faces! We then headed to our lovely accommodation to settle in for the night. Sunday we had a jam-packed day full of sightseeing in DC including Lincoln Memorial, Reflecting Pool, World War II Memorial. and the Washington Monument. It looked so pretty with all the snow and we took lots of photos! We then headed to the White House for a photo and then a Camp On Tour favorite- Yard House -for lunch! We spent the afternoon exploring the National Air and Space museum and got to catch an amazing Planetarium Show before heading back to our accommodation for the evening!
We had an awesome time this MLK weekend! On arrival to a snowy Philadelphia, we explored the Reading Terminal Market and enjoyed a variety of food including Philly Cheesesteaks! We then headed straight for the sites and walked a short route to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. We stopped at the National Museum of American Jewish History before dinner at Chilli's! Everyone did a great job sticking to the budget and making their own order with the waitress! On Sunday we went straight to The Franklin Institute where we spent hours exploring the museum and even saw a really cool Planetarium Show! We then walked to the Rocky statue and some even ran up all the way up the 72 steps just as Rocky did in the movie! Snow started to fall again, so we went back to the hotel for a little rest hour before enjoying a choice dinner at local restaurants and spent the rest of the evening hanging out in the lobby together!
